Corporate Struggle

is a monument to a conversation I had with (Need to check with him).

I had made the Steer for Neiman Marcus and we were negotiating the price and he was giving me a crash course over the phone in business negotiation. I was doodling while we were talking. Later I was asked what I could do with this pole on his property and I proposed my doodle.

The Lessons: Bottom to Top

  • If you are unsure of your position the sharks will smell the blood. Note: guy is being eaten by a shark that doubles as his suit jacket.
  • You need to go there and take down your pants. IE the issue is honesty.
  • Falling figure. What happens if I fail.
  • Flying figure. Success. Inspired by Tlingit Indian Totem Poles of the Pacific Northwest.

The Totem Pole is 12 Feet High and the arms and beek are both six feet long. Diameter is 22" at the bottom.
