George Jr the owner of the building and his son George III are starting to install the long planned roof structure over the front door. All projects draw a crowd to marval and criticize as they need to do. Here Mark and George Jr admire while George III works. This is good form where old guys stand around while the young man works.
Younger son Brian joins the group and more work gets done faster.
Day's work well done.
Later, copper flashing and a slate roof finished the job. Note the wood is a tight grained pine. It was salvaged from old beams used in the roof structure of the studio. Those beams were put in the studio in 1865 so it is probably 200 year old wood.
