Adding the Clay

The clay has the working properties of a chocolate bar. It becomes liquid just over body temperature and is fairly hard at 70 degrees and below.

I heat it up in a crock pot and brush it on with 4 inch paint brush. I also have a clay oven made of $20 worth of hardware store parts including a small metal garbage can, a rheostat switch controlling a heat lamp.

I plan to use a sculpting tool to trowel the clay on to give it a pallet knife texture. This will hopefully render a loose texture over an accurate anitomical structure.
