| The Bureaucratic Shuffle came from a phone conversation with Jack Whitehead. He asked, "Do you have anything as cynical as "The Bureaucrat". I started playing around with the elements of that piece, removing the functional part but keeping the six legs. By changing the anatomical proportions in the middle, I was able to get enough room to get six legs under the figure. He wanted the pocket watch and chain and striped double breasted suit. I found myself looking a very overweight people and trying to capture their look.
