Michael Speaker: Man With the Yellow Briefcase
The Tie
The tie is book-matched, which means it is a mirror image of itself down the middle. From there I carved it. It is more fashionable in some circles to have your Windsor knot where it is positive in the middle with two troughs right and left and flat on each outside.
That was my first choice but the wood is so fragile that I chose the basic knot, employing the sculptural rule to avoid violating the materials.
